You will pay a yearly franchise tax of $300.

Delaware State Gross Receipts Tax

In some cases you may need to pay a gross receipts tax of between 0.1006% to 0.7543%, depending on what your business does. There are typically monthly or quarterly exclusions of between $100,000 and $1,250,000. You can find more information on the Delaware Tax Tip website.

Delaware Sales Tax

Unlike many states, Delaware has no sales tax for goods and services, so no state sales tax will be due.

Delaware State Tax

Delaware residents must pay state tax on their income at a rate of between 2.2% and 6.6%. Here’s a helpful Delaware state tax calculator.

Federal Taxes

Self-Employment Tax

Because your Delaware LLC income flows through to your personal tax return, you must pay self-employment tax (also known as FICA, Social Security or Medicare tax) on your earnings. This is typically at a rate of 15.3 percent. You will be able to deduct your business expenses from your income when working out how much self-employment tax you owe. Note that if you are an LLC electing to be treated as an S Corp, you can reduce your self-employment tax.

Federal Income Tax

You will also need to pay regular federal income tax when you file your tax return every year. You can see the federal tax bands here. Note that you will be able to apply your standard deduction, personal exemption and business expenses to this tax.
