Fashion industry startup opportunities

For entrepreneurs interested in forming a company in the fashion industry, there are several areas that are great for startups, writes Jeanette Mulvey of Business News Daily.

One opportunity, runway coaching, requires minimal startup funds. For entrepreneurs with fashion show production experience, runway coaching allows them to instruct models on how to improve their runway performance and collaborate with designers during casting calls.

Entrepreneurs with a corporate background could pursue fashion business coaching. This sector also requires minimal startup funds and has high earning potential. Kerry Bannigan, owner of a fashion consulting firm, told Business News Daily that with constant clientele, fashion business coaches can earn six-figure salaries.

A fashion blog does not need a lot of financial investment, but entrepreneurs must be willing to put in a lot of work. It also is flexible enough to complement an existing job. Photo styling is a sector that is open a variety of backgrounds – it only requires a good sense of fashion, knowledge of fashion history and product sourcing know-how.

Inc. magazine does caution that entering the fashion industry poses tricky choices on incorporation, sales and brand protection. Business owners that seek the advice from incorporation services can help protect their budding fashion industry venture from any problems that may occur.
