Wisconsin business incorporation is making headway

While the nation is slowly recovering from economic recession, increased business incorporation rates are helping Wisconsin. According to a report from the Dunn County News, regions of the state are seeing substantial business growth.

Dunn County economic development corporation director Christopher Smith says that the number of startup inquiries are increasing in the new year. "We had 33 inquiries into startup business for the entire year of 2009, and we’ve already had 15 this year," Smith told the source. Plus, the county’s current corporations are bringing in more revenue this year.

Perhaps the growing interest in forming a company has something to do with Wisconsin’s healthy business climate. According to the State Department’s website, Wisconsin offers a number of property tax exemptions and offers many business types tax credits for equipment and raw materials.

With this in mind, entrepreneurs might consider business incorporation in Wisconsin in 2010. In 2009, the state’s Small Business Development Center assisted more than 250 companies with business plans and helped bring in more than $22 million in capital gains. If that was accomplished at the height of the recession, imagine how the center could help a business in a recovering climate. ADNFCR-3052-ID-19749135-ADNFCR
